Mike has over 31 years of experience as a CPA and licensed life insurance advisor. His expertise is broad and relates to business and estate planning, wealth transfer, business succession planning, business valuation, estate and income taxation, and litigation as a consultant/expert witness. He is accredited by the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils as an Accredited Estate Planner (AEP®) and by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Business Valuation (ABV).
He received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from The Ohio State University in 1983 where his major was accounting. Mike also earned his Master of Taxation degree from the University of Akron in 1990.
Mike currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Akron Community Foundation and its Community Relations Committee. He participated in Leadership Akron’s Class XII and previously served on the boards for Habitat for Humanity and Volunteers of America. He has frequently lectured to groups such as the Cleveland and Akron Bar Associations; University of Akron’s Law School, Master of Taxation program and National Tax Conference; The Ohio State University undergraduate accounting curriculum; AICPA & OSCPA; and the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.
Mike and his wife, Susan, reside in Hudson, have three children and enjoy exercising, skiing, golf and boating (when the weather cooperates).
