Don is a corporate director of GDK & Company. He specializes in the design and implementation of executive benefits and employee benefits programs.

He joined the firm, formerly known as Greenwald Underwriting Associates, Inc., in 1975 and was made a director in 1985. Prior to entering the insurance business, he worked briefly as a high school teacher and assistant principal in the Toledo area.

Don received a bachelor’s degree from Heidelberg College and a master’s degree from Chapman University. He has been a Chartered Life Underwriter since 1983, a member of the Million Dollar Round Table since 1979, and is a member/shareholder of M Financial Group, a national network of independent financial service firms.

He currently serves as Vice President of the Board of Trustees of the Wm. McKinley Presidential Library and Museum and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the North Canton YMCA. He is also Vice Chairman of The Twelve, Inc., a social service agency servicing troubled and battered youth in both group home and foster family settings. He is active in the Stark County Humane Society.

Don and his wife, Diane, reside in North Canton. In his free time, he enjoys tennis and snow skiing.
